Israel steps up its preparations for “Art-football”-2015 24.04.2015 13:33

Israel, runner-up of the Artists’ World Cup-2014, is determined to win the title this year and to show the best concert program with the support of 100 Israelis that will come to Moscow on June 5-14.

The Israeli team started their preparations for the Vth Artists’World Cup back in August 2014 at a near- professional level: two training sessions a week, a rigorous fitness program, Pilates training and of course, preparation matches.

Seven matches were held so far: 6 wins and one draw, 27-4 goal difference and a sensational victory over the Israeli National Veterans team 4:0. This is by far the best artists' team in Israel's history and it expects to show its abilities in Moscow as well.

Team star Hen Mantzuri has been working on his stand-up comedy routine in which he talks about his decision to leave the world of football at a relatively young age to concentrate on the world of entertainment that he loves so much.

The other team players are also extremely busy participating in plays, films and television series. Couple that with the team’s serious training sessions and you get a very hectic daily routine for them these days.

The team concert is expected to be taking a giant leap forward as befits the occasion: considerable excitement and anticipation can be felt during the rehearsals and the musical material is better than ever. Moti Dichne, concert producer, is putting together some unique musical ensembles that will bring the special colors of Israeli music to Moscow.

Dichne, one of the most famous musicians in Israel, member of the world-famous cover band “The Sixties” has committed himself wholly to “Art-football” and regards the tournament and concert as an important milestone in his career.

The Israeli delegation will probably be the largest in Moscow and will include nearly 100 players, coaching staff, administrators and board members.
