Michel Platini, the UEFA president, sent a message of greetings to the participants of the Vth Artists’World Championship – Football and Music Festival “Art-football” that will be held in Moscow on June 5-14.
Art-Football Festival in Moscow
It is a special pleasure to send greetings to all those who are participating in the 2015 edition of the Art-Football festival in Moscow. It is a remarkable, maybe unique, event that unites football and music – two universal languages which, in this case, are going to be spoken by sixteen teams from diverse countries and diverse cultures. It is also a festival which is in line with UEFA’s philosophy of encouraging and supporting initiatives linked to social responsibility projects. In this case, the Under the Flag of Kindness campaign generates funds which are used with the laudable aim of providing treatment for children who are suffering from serious illnesses.
I see that this is the fifth edition of a festival which first appeared on the radar in 2007 and 2008. So it is positive news that Art-Football has re-appeared with new impetus and is becoming a regular feature on the summer calendar. I am sure that spectators will enjoy some entertaining football at the three stadiums in Moscow and will also enjoy the music at the All-Russia Exhibition Centre. I would like to applaud the Football Union of Russia and the Municipality of Moscow for supporting this exceptional festival.
