Russian art-footballers played 2 matches on May 30 to end preparations for the Vth Artists’ World Cup that will take place in Moscow on June 5-14.
In Taganrog (south of Russia) the united “Rosich-Starco” team drew against the local administration team in a tough game 1:1. Former Torpedo midfielder Vladimir Leonchenko put an equalizer from penalty spot after Arkady Dvorkovich, Russia vice prime-minister, fell in the box a few seconds before the final whistle.
The match was played in the frame of the All-Russian charity campaign “Under the flag of Kindness!” the aim of which is to collect money for treatment of seriously ill children.
Meanwhile in Moscow on the Poklonnaya hill other “Starco” players lost to the selected team of Russian Railway League – 5:6 in a 5-a-side match.
At “Art-football” festival Russia play against Slovenia, Estonia and Italy in preliminary group C.
