On June 11, a charity event of "Art Football" took place at the inclusive school "Absolute" in the city of Serpukhov. Representatives from the Russian, South Korean, and Turkish national teams, led by Yuri Davydov, visited the training sessions of the children’s teams and even played football with them. They gifted the children soccer balls, sports uniform, soft toys and educational games.
“Artists, like football players, shouldn’t talk too much,” Davydov remarked ironically, “so we will talk less and sing and play football more.” After the football match, the musicians of "Art Football" held an impromptu concert, where Korean musicians sang songs in their native language, and Turkish singer Burakhan Cahir performed “Freed from Desire” on guitar for the children. The mini-concert concluded with Yuri Davydov singing the famous song "Nothing Better in the World" from the animated film "The Bremen Town Musicians", receiving thunderous applause. In response, the students recited poems, sang a few songs, and showcased a couple of dance performances.
“From now we will visit your school annually during the 'Art Football' festival,” Yuri Davydov assured the audience.
On their way back to Moscow, the musical-football delegation made a stop at the Monument to the Unknown Soldier and laid flowers at the base of the monument in honor of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory. The South Korean delegation paid tribute to the fallen soldiers who showed heroism during the Great Patriotic War by performing a traditional Korean bow. The delegation returned to Moscow just in time for the match between Russia and Kazakhstan, which ended in a friendly draw of 1-1. The evening concluded with a large concert at the Izmailovo Concert Hall, featuring performers from the national teams of Serbia, Hungary, and Georgia, culminating in a solo concert block by Irakli Pirtskhalava.
The X World Football Championship for Artists — the International Football and Musical Festival "Art Football 2025" will take place in Moscow from June 7 to 15, 2025.
