Alexander Ovechkin played “Under the flag of Kindness!” 15.06.2015 16:32

“Rosich-Starco” united team of music, theatre and film stars, famous sportsmen and public figures played a charity match against World team on the final day of the Vth Artitsts’ World Championship – Football and Music Festival “Art-football” at the Torpedo stadium in Moscow.

2:2 is the result of the game which traditionally closed the program of the Festival. During 10 days (June 5-14) artists’ squads from Europe and Asia competed for the title of the best art-football team of the world.

Before the start of the match Natalya Davydova, head of the All-Russia charity foundation “Under the flag of Kindness!”, and captains of the teams offered medical certificates guaranteeing payment of expensive treatment to the parents of children in need of such treatment.

The spectators gave a round of applause when they saw Alexander Ovechkin, triple hockey world champion and forward of “Washington Capitals”, to take goalkeeper’s position in the team of Russia. Ovechkin played well and is not to blame for 2 goals.

Arkady Dvorkovich, Russia vice-prime minister, Victor Zinchuk (musician, “Russia gold guitar”), Nikolai Tolstykh (former Russian football federation president), Nikolai Gulyaev (speed-skating Olympic champion) and many other famous persons were the stars of this charity match.
