Rostislav Hayit: “I'm afraid that Russian national team will not leave the group at the World Cup” 05.12.2017 18:34

One of the founders of “Quartet I”, an actor, screenwriter and leader of the Russian national football team among artists Rostislav Hayit shared his impressions of the performance of CSKA and Spartak in the Champions League with the press-service of Art-Football, evaluated the game of the national football team and the results of the draw of the final part of the FIFA World Cup, and also told why every year he is waiting for the start of the “Art-football” festival.

How do you assess the performance of CSKA and Spartak in the Champions League in general, and the chances of the teams in the last round of the group stage?

— Regardless of how the group stage will end, I can say that our clubs have made a significant step forward. 9 points CSKA, that is, 3 wins in 5 games — this result they have not had. Enchanting game of Spartak against Sevilla — it is clear that the guests “showered”, but they were not alone on the field, it was red-and-white forced them to drop their hands. These successes inspire hope that in the last matches both teams will compete for the maximum result, and the minimum they already have — both teams are guaranteed to fall into the playoffs of the Europa League.

On December 1, the final draw of the World Cup was held. What can you say about the Russian national team and the chances of it?

— I can’t say anything positive about the game of the national team. In this team in recent years there are a lot of young, sporty daring players with a serious potential. But Russia needs a new Hiddink — the coach, which will give the team a bright and bold style of play that allows talents to unfold. Now, under the current scheme of the game, we act more coherently on the contrary, on the principle of “no matter what bad things happen”, and I can’t look at this without frustration. I'm afraid that the Russian team will not leave the group. We will not defeat Egypt and Saudi Arabia with such a game. Perhaps there will be 3 draws or 2 draws and 1 win.

“Art-football” is coming soon. We still remember your workshop goals last summer. Should we wait for you as part of the Russian national team amond artists?

— Of course. I always find a place to participate in “Art Football” in my schedule, because I love this tournament, its atmosphere and the level of rivals. I'll definitely see you there.
